Great printer!
By domcomm
I have been involved with the publishing industry for many years, and have used many printers, but this is by far the best. It is sharp, clear, and fast, even when printing duplex pages.

I plan on buying more of them for our offices, now that I've tried this one out at home.

Great Printer, Etremely low cost per page, hard to install
By ASG
Great print speed, very high monthly duty cycle and the lowest toner cost per page I could find. I bought this because recently I had to print 300-500 pages per day (a few times) on a brand new low end laser. After a few hundred pages the printer would heat up, pages began to curl and the output would randomly send pages to the floor. It took 4 hours to print something that could have taken a few minutes on a better printer. Therefore, I bought this mainly for the better paper handling. I was surprised a low cost printer with a 10,000 page capacity toner exists.

I had the most unusual problems I have every had installing a printer(I've installed dozens of printers). On a Win7 computer, I downloaded the most recent universal pcl driver (top-most on the download list). When I tried to print on word or firefox the computer would freeze. I deleted the printer and installed the PCL driver from CD, then it worked perfectly. On a Win8 computer, I plugged in USB and win installed automatically. On every program with multiple page printouts, 1 page ( or 0 pages) would print then the printer would freeze with the display saying "processing". I deleted the printer and installed the PCL driver from CD, then it worked perfectly.

Does what it promises
By GG
I am more than pleased with this printer. I bought it to use for printing out first drafts of manuscripts, as well as labels for shipping books. I needed: fast start-up time; reliability; speed; crisp, clear printing, with no bleeding; and toner that wouldn't cost me a fortune to replenish. I got it all with this baby. The printer starts up amazingly fast, and it hits speeds advertised. The quality is as good as my heavy-duty laser that cost @ 9 times as much to buy and twice as much to maintain. I've had it for about 9 months and it hasn't let me down once. I would have preferred a wireless printer, but I opted to sacrifice that feature for all the rest it offered, including a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this printer to anyone, and when I go shopping again myself it will be for an Oki.
