Great printer for the price!!!

I still am in disbelief at the price I payed for a printer that will supposedly print 12,000 pages before I have to worry about a new cartridge!!!

That being said know what you are buying, this printer is not deluxe, feature rich, high quality manufactured. I did test it with almost a full tray of paper and it did have some issues, although with 20 sheets in at a time, printing shipping labels for Amazon and eBay, this thing works like a charm. Prints extremely fast from time you click, until the page is finished printing. Resolution and quality looks great.

If you are not using this for a heavy office application, it is the PERFECT at home black and white printer with a low cost per print.

12,000 pages per toner cartridge? WRONG

The toner cartridge is rated at 1,200 pages average. NOT 12,000. While a decent printer for the price, I too bought it because of the astounding claim that it printed 12,000 per cartridge. That's not what the manual says. And I've gone through 3 cartridges and I only get about 950 pages.
So don't buy this because you think you'll get 12,000 pages per toner, because that is a gross misprint.
The "duty cycle" might be 10,000 pages a month, but that means you'll go through 10 toner cartridges a month which will cost you about $450.00. Seems silly for a $49.00 printer.

For specialized needs, not general printing.

We bought a few of these because we needed B&W laser printing in some tight spaces. However, I wouldn't recommend them for general use. While a single SP 100 toner cartridge still has a greater capacity than inkjets, it's output is about half of what comparable desktop laser printers provde: 1200 pages rather than 2000 or 2500, as is the usual capacity for laser printers of this class. The 50 sheet paper capacity is annoying, and there are feed issues if the paper isn't at the proper angle. These fill our needs, but with some tradeoffs. If you have specific needs... say perhaps, narrow spaces for printer storage (a parking lot booth, for instance)... then take a look at these. Otherwise, I'd look at other alternatives.
